World & Story Brief

What:
  • This story involves nature/element based magic users (of different ranks), powerful humanoids, and wild animals/creatures.
  • In the story the protagonists, who are two children of the Queen, suffer abuses from the King(antagonist), and the siblings decide to run away, and find solace at an outside village. In their journey they have some conflicts and find helpful allies, including a friendly humanoid and her pet panther, who help them escape the castle and join them in their journey.

Where:
  • Earth-like world, but smaller consisting of more land than water. There are no countries or continental divides, but it is separated by villages and castle cities, each controlled by a village ruler, or king/queen.
Chronological settings:
  • It begins at the Southern Castle. The castle city consists of the castle itself, it's surrounding village, and is protected by a grand castle wall. The surrounding land is hilly and abundant in resources.
  • During the journey, they travel throughout the land to several little villages, and across a bay to the northern villages.
  • The end of the story is placed in a small village hidden in the northern mountain valley, where they find solace.
When:
  • early middle age-like times (1000AD?). Or basically a less developed time when village life was more of a thing

Who:
  • The main protagonists are siblings, children of the Queen (not the King)
  • The main antagonist is the abusive King (of the Southern Castle)

STORY: [title]

Debate:
  • The Protagonist are the royal children who want to escape and flee from the abusive King's control. They want to get away from royal traditions, and find a safe place and loving people who will accept them.
  • The Antagonist is the King, who wants to keep the protagonist for his own benefit. He wants to keep his dignity in the city by making it seem he has a happy royal family, but secretly he takes advantage of them, abusing them and using them as slaves in the castle. He also abuses them for the reason that they are not his biological children.
  • Story moral - safety and happiness is more important than following traditions.
  • Inciting Incident - protagonists get threatened. The king wants to make his son a prince, but sell off his daughter to marry another royal family.
